Summer Camp Staff

Sarah Convissar, Head Counselor (1-4 grade)

Hi! My name is Sarah Convissar. I am entering my junior year at Colorado State University this August, studying Early Childhood Education. I love working with children and plan to be an elementary school teacher after college. This past year, I worked at Har Shalom as the 3rd grade Religious School teacher and will be the 4th grade teacher for this upcoming school year. Additionally, I have worked as a math and literacy tutor for the past two years at Dunn Elementary School. This coming school year, I will be working with Key Communities to mentor 20 undeclared freshmen and be their teacher assistant; a role I’m excited about. Also, the past two summers, I have been a camp counselor at Colorado Athletic Club Inverness. I am  excited to bring all of my experience, enthusiasm and love for camp learning to know your children and you this summer.

Hezekiah Fisher, Head Counselor (pre/K)

My name is Hezekiah Fisher. I have been working with Har Shalom Religious School since I was in 8th grade. For the past two years, I have worked as a head teacher with 7th graders and teaching prayerbook Hebrew through games and activities. I am now going to be a senior at CU Boulder where I will be attending with my two sisters. Last summer, I was a head counselor for Aleph Jewish Renewal working with children from preschool age to 6th grade. It was an amazing experience and I loved every second of it. This summer, I will join the second session of camp because I will be in Israel on Birthright during the first session – my brothers and I are all on the same trip! I can’t wait to spend my summer with your children at Har Shalom Summer Camp.

Emma Shear, Head Counselor (pre/K)

Hi Everyone! I am so very excited to work as a head summer camp counselor at Har Shalom. This past school year, I worked as the Gan/Ganon teacher and had a wonderful experience learning, connecting and having a wonderful time with my students every Sunday. Two years ago, I worked in my home state of Utah as a Senior Counselor at the Salt Lake City Jewish Community Center, and last summer I worked in the mountains as a counselor at Maurice B. Shwayder Camp. I love working with children of all ages as they explore, discover, and build new friendships everyday. I am looking forward to a great summer!

Karen Woods, Head Counselor (pre/K)

This is my first summer with Har Shalom helping with the summer camp. I grew up in Northern California where I studied Montessori education as well as worked in a school. I have lived with in Fort Collins for 11 years, and have worked at T.R. Paul Academy of Arts and Knowledge preschool. I am currently a substitute for Global Village International Preschool as well as Poudre School District. I am privileged to have the opportunity to help make Summer Camp fun!

Addie Cutler, Co-Director

For the past two years, I have been a religious school teacher at Or Hadash & a Hebrew High teacher at Har Shalom. Summer camp is my favorite setting for Jewish learning as I had a great time as a counselor, art specialist, and teva (garden) specialist at URJ Camp Kalsman in Washington State. I graduated from CSU this spring with a degree in Food Science & Human Nutrition. During my time in undergrad, I was a research assistant with Fuel for Fun, a childhood obesity prevention program offering cooking lessons in 4th grade classrooms around Fort Collins and Loveland. I also volunteered as a day camp counselor with Common Threads Farm, a garden and food education non-profit in my home town. I'm looking forward to a fun summer at Har Shalom!
