Book Donations
All books with Judaic content are accepted as donations. Please be a courteous donor and only offer books in good condition. We cannot accept books with torn pages or covers, margin notes, broken or torn spines, water or other damage. Donated books will either be put into circulation or into used book sales to generate funds to purchase targeted books for the Children's and Adult Libraries.
Upon request, large donations will be book plated with the name of the donor and the English and Hebrew dates of the donation. Any book purchased by a congregant for the Library to mark an occasion such as a Bar/Bat Mitzvah, or to fulfill a specific need with be book plated with the name of the donor, the English/Hebrew date and the occasion.
New Books
Suggestions for new books to update the Library's collection can be submitted to Judy Petersen, Library Director or select from the list below.
New books for the Children's Library are purchased in coordination with the CHS Religious School to reflect curricular, student and family needs. Additional books are purchased through Religious School Tzedakah projects, book drives, and biannual used book sales.
