Childcare/Youth Programming FAQs

Is there childcare for all High Holiday events?

No. Some events are designed for the entire family to attend together. Check the schedule for details.

Is there a minimum age?

Yes. 12 months. Infants younger than 12 months are welcome to stay with their family in the service. You may also bring your infant to childcare and stay with them.

What’s the difference between childcare and youth programming?

Childcare provides a supervised, safe space for young children to spend time during the holidays. We will have holiday-themed story times, songs, and age-appropriate holiday videos. There are no services during child care.

Youth programming includes interactive, religious services designed for each age group, holiday-related activities such as Torah text study, craft projects, stories, singing, and time for free play and snack.

Teens are encouraged to attend services; however, if they need a break, they are invited to assist for 1 hour in childcare.

Do you provide snack and lunch?

We provide allergy-friendly snacks for all ages during all services. You are welcome to bring snacks, or lunch if your child will be staying past 11:30am, but all items must be labeled, be vegetarian, and peanut-free.

Do children attend any part of the main service?

Yes! The children will sing an opening song (Shehechiyanu) during Erev Rosh HaShanahh services and closing songs during several of the daytime services. All children will be brought into the sanctuary as a group for all shofar-blowing moments during the High Holidays.
