Purim Project 2021

Purim Volunteer & Donation Form

Shalach Manot is defined as the giving of “portions.”

The mitzvah of giving Purim boxes increases friendship among Jews and our neighbors. Please help with this mitzvah so that every Har Shalom member and affiliated members of our community receive a Purim box filled with treats. Due to COVID-19, we will not be including hamantaschen this year, but Great Harvest Bread in the Scotch Pines Village shopping center at Drake and Lemay has dough for sale so you can make hamantaschen at home!

Please note: If you need an allergy-friendly box or will be out of town for Purim, please contact the Purim committee at purim@congregationharshalom.org.

Donations to the Purim Project help offset the costs for making Purim boxes. A typical donation amount is from $18 - $72, but we appreciate donations of any amount.

Volunteers are needed to help pack boxes during the week of February 15th to the 19th. We will have stations setup up in the synagogue up for people to pack boxes from safe social distances with masks. Volunteers are also needed to deliver boxes to our community on Sunday, February 21st. Please indicate your interest below.
