Intergenerational Shacharit Study and Service

Saturday, October 21, @ 9:00 AM

Shabbat School Isn't just for Kids! We look forward to an intergenerational event where parents, students, community members and guests can learn, pray, and lunch together. Please join us.

SHABBAT SCHOOL SCHEDULE
9:00 a.m. -- Arrival for 5th-12th grades & adults for Torah Study
10:00 a.m. -- Arrival for PreK-4th grades
10:15 a.m. -- Shabbat Shacharit Service led by Susan Schaibly
11:45 a.m. -- Kiddush/Oneg and Potluck Luncheon

ALL THE DETAILS
9:00 a.m. -- Grades 5th- 12th arrive
Students in grades 5 through 12 will attend a fun, interactive Torah Study with our regular adult Torah Study community, led by Susan Schaibly.

The Torah portion (parasha ) for the week is Noach (Genesis 6:9 - 11:32).

(If you have children in multiple grades and need to arrive at 9:00 a.m., we will have Shabbat activities for younger children from 9:00 - 10:00. Activities for PreK-4th officially begin at 10:00 a.m.)

10:00 a.m. -- Grades Kindergarten-4th arrive

10:00 a.m. - 10:15 a.m. - Mini-Snack & Settling in for Services

10:15 a.m. -- Shabbat Services in the Sanctuary for all ages

All Religious School students will attend Shabbat Services together! It is important for us as a school and a community to give even our littlest ones a "seat at the table."

We realize that not all children will be able to sit through the entire service and other activities will be available during the morning. Kids can move in and out of the service as they are able, and our teachers will help with the flow.

11:45 a.m. -- Kiddush/Oneg followed by Potluck Luncheon
The true delight of Shabbat -- gathering together for a yummy Shabbat meal. Please bring a vegetarian dish to share for the luncheon according to last name as follows:

A-G -- Luncheon Salads (egg salad, tuna salad, pasta salad, etc.)
H-N -- Fruit and vegetable finger-foods
O-R -- Breads , bagels, and cream cheeses
S-Z -- Beverages (juices and teas) and desserts

Note to Parents:
Shabbat School replaces Sunday School for the week, and we ask you to treat Shabbat School as a regular school day and plan on attending. The entire family is welcome and encouraged to attend the entirety of Shabbat School together - it brings nachas to all our hearts to see families celebrating together!

There is no Sunday School on Sunday, October 22
