Instructor: Barbara Sherrod

This is a chance to tell your own personal, unique story, in your own way, and from your own perspective. We will reflect on where we are now, how we got there, and where we want to go. The reason Jewish is included in the title is that this class offers an invitation to bring our personal spiritual perspective to our story. We are free to explore our deepest sacred connections.

The reason Jewish is in parentheses in the class title is that our writing will include many aspects of life other than our Jewish experiences. And, of course, not all of us have a Jewish history. But we all have a life story. We will be writing in "shorts," brief sketches, and what we write will be shared purely on a voluntary basis. We will read to pod- partners. We will hear each others’ stories, but will not critique them. Hearing will help us find our writing voice, and sharing will help give others perspective and ideas.
